Buying Local: Sanivac’s Commitment to Quebec-Based Partners

At Sanivac, pride in buying local is at the heart of our DNA. As a Quebec-based family business founded nearly 65 years ago, we have always relied on partnerships with local companies to grow and better serve our clients. For us, buying local is more than just a slogan—it’s a guiding principle that shapes our decisions, from equipment sourcing to community involvement. Let’s explore how this commitment to the local economy is reflected in our day-to-day operations, and how your support helps sustain an entire network of local contributors.

Our Local Suppliers: Showcasing Quebec Expertise

VACFORCE, a Quebec-based company and a Sanivac Group subsidiary, designs and builds our custom vacuum trucks to meet real-world operational demands. Thanks to their local expertise, we benefit from robust, high-performance vehicles built for Quebec’s harsh work conditions. Choosing VACFORCE means supporting local innovation while ensuring fleet reliability—a partner that shares our standards and reality.

Promotional items by Jordal
Located on Montreal’s North Shore, Jordal supplies our workwear and many of our promotional products. With their expertise in local printing, we equip our teams with durable, well-identified clothing suited to field conditions. Choosing Jordal helps us reinforce our professional image while supporting a respected Quebec-based company.

(And that’s just the beginning—many other local suppliers and subcontractors contribute to our daily success.)
Each of these collaborations reflects the same vision: to champion local expertise. By working hand-in-hand with these Quebec-based partners, Sanivac ensures that every element of our operations—from the largest truck to the smallest branded item—benefits from Quebec craftsmanship and quality. It’s a source of shared pride and a trust guarantee for our clients.

Corporate Gifts That Celebrate Local Artisans

Our commitment to local buying goes well beyond operations—it’s also how we recognize our clients, partners, and employees with meaningful gifts. That’s why we prioritize corporate gifts sourced from Quebec artisans.

Every year, we partner with local producers to offer authentic, heartfelt products. Maple syrup from Érablière du Nord, craft beer from Ô Quai des Brasseurs, hot sauces from La Pimenterie, gourmet items from Sucrerie de la Montagne—these are just a few examples of the locally made gifts we use to say thank you. Often personalized, these packages carry real symbolic value.

These aren’t just products—they tell a local story. They support Quebec artisans and share their craft through our network. It’s how we close the loop: when you choose Sanivac, you’re also supporting local businesses that matter to us. A local product is a gift of shared pride.

Beyond Business: A Commitment to Community

Fondation Paul-Leboeuf et Sanivac Supporting local goes hand-in-hand with Sanivac’s broader social responsibility. As a community-rooted company for three generations, we believe deeply in giving back and supporting causes that impact our region.

For years, we’ve proudly supported Centre Notre-Dame-de-Fatima in Vaudreuil-Soulanges, a camp offering adapted summer programs for children with special needs. Through our ongoing partnership with the Arc-en-ciel program and the generosity of our team, we make significant donations each year to fund the specialized support these children need.

We also actively support the Paul-Leboeuf Foundation, which helps local families provide respite or access to specialized camps for their children. To reinforce this support, the Sanivac family launched an innovative internal donation program in 2020: each week, more than half of our employees voluntarily contribute a small amount from their paycheck (e.g., $1 or $2). While modest on its own, these micro-donations add up—turning into tens of thousands of dollars directly donated to the foundation. In May 2024, Sanivac employees proudly presented a $25,000 cheque to the foundation.

We are incredibly proud of our employees’ generosity and dedication. Their involvement proves that beyond our sanitation services, we are a big family dedicated to our community.

These community commitments are a core part of who we are. They reflect our belief that a local company’s success is most meaningful when it’s shared. By supporting initiatives like Centre Notre-Dame-de-Fatima and the Paul-Leboeuf Foundation, Sanivac gives back and helps those who need it most. It’s our way of thanking the community that has supported us all these years and contributing to a stronger future—right here in Quebec.
