Since its inception in 1961 in Notre-Dame-De-l’Île-Perrot, Sanivac has evolved to become a leader in the field of sanitation services.
After more than 62 years of operation, our offices and facilities have greatly evolved to adapt to our growth, particularly over the last 20 years. Sanivac now has 8 branches in Quebec and Ontario. Our skilled employees and trusted partners have significantly contributed to building the current Sanivac, and we are very proud of it.
At the heart of this prosperous history, as an essential element of our large Sanivac family, is an exceptional man: Mr. Yves Lalonde, whose influence has left an indelible mark.
An exceptional man: Mr. Yves Lalonde
During our recent Christmas party on November 24th, we dedicated a special moment to celebrate the well-deserved retirement of Mr. Lalonde, a true titan in the construction world.
Mr. Lalonde’s exceptional journey, now at the age of 88, began in 1958 when he ventured into business as a general contractor. His early days were marked by a close collaboration with the Kelly family, working together to build the first garages with sweat on their brows.
The Kelly family warmly welcomed Mr. Lalonde into the large Sanivac family, where his perseverance and hard work not only contributed to the company’s growth but also forged strong bonds among the members of our team.
To mark this significant impact, an entire table was dedicated to Mr. Lalonde and his loved ones during this festive event. It was our way of celebrating his outstanding achievements and acknowledging the positive legacy he leaves behind with us. His dedication and leadership have been a source of inspiration for all of us, contributing invaluable to our success.
Mr. Lalonde, a pillar of Sanivac
Mr. Lalonde has been much more than a mere collaborator within Sanivac; he has been a pillar, a guide whose perseverance, determination, and vision have greatly contributed to our collective success.
Surrounded by close ones and significant colleagues, he expressed his gratitude to each, highlighting the remarkable loyalty of Hubert, his employee for nearly 17 years.
His expertise and exemplary dedication as a general contractor were essential pillars in the development of our facilities and garages located on Huot Street since the year 2000.
As a valuable member of the large Sanivac family, Mr. Lalonde truly embodies the fundamental values of our family business at every stage of its evolution. His hard work has played a significant role in the flourishing of Sanivac.
The lasting legacy of Mr. Yves Lalonde
Mr. Yves Lalonde, a man whose career has been marked by exceptional achievements, played a key role in the construction of many iconic buildings in the Vaudreuil-Soulange region.
It is undeniable that finding someone to match Mr. Lalonde will be a challenge for our future projects. He leaves behind big shoes to fill! Although we feel his absence, we will never forget the extraordinary projects he successfully completed throughout his life.
In this well-deserved stage of his retirement, we wish him happiness, health, and unforgettable moments. His journey will remain a source of inspiration for generations to come.
